This was the BEST family vacation we had taken at Xmas time! My kids had the most amazing time from getting their Golden Tickets, to riding the trolley to the North Pole, then making toys for the children and signing with the elves while enjoying Snowman Soup and cookies.. Then the final adventure seeing Santa was the highlight!!! Such a fun exciting time our whole family had from beginning to end, Well done NPX!!! Thanks for the memories.

Took my 4 yr old daughter who has not stopped talking about the experience. It was so incredible to see her eyes ‘light up’ and she absolutely LOVED every minute of the experience. It brought tears to my eyes to see the joy in my daughter.

We had an absolute blast two years ago in Greer. We cannot wait to take our two up to Flagstaff. It’s such a magical place.

Denise I. -

I had dreamed of a place like this to take my child and they surpassed all of our expectations. I wish we could make the trip every year!

The North Pole experience is a magical place. You feel like you are transported directly to the North Pole. The gleam in the children’s eyes when they realize they are visiting Santa’s Workshop is priceless. Their faces beam as they bounce from room to room. Being able to explore all the North Pole Experience has to offer is truly an event that all families should experience and one that children will never forget.

Julia L. -

My husband and I took our 6 children to the NPX and had the most memorable Christmas. It was like being a part of a magical Christmas story.

What To Expect - FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the North Pole Experience (NPX), and how long is it?

The North Pole Experience (NPX) is the home of Santa’s authentic 400 year old workshop and one-of-a-kind Christmas adventure in Arizona.  Families will enjoy 1 hour and 45 minute “Christmas adventure of a lifetime” with a trolley bus ride to the North Pole through a magic portal.  Inside his famously grand workshop and toy factory headquarters, they will work side-by-side with Santa and his elves, building toys.  Families will also tour Santa’s Toy Hall of Fame, attend Elf University, eat cookies inside Mrs. Claus’s Bakery, see Santa’s sleigh and mission control, and enjoy special one-on-one family time and photo with Santa.  (1 family photo with Santa in included)

What are the Child ages for tickets? Does my 1 year old need a ticket?

Infants 0 to 17 months are FREE, and must be a lap child during transport to Santa’s workshop on the trolley buses. A child ticket is for the ages of 18 months to 17 years of age, and an adult ticket is 18 years and older.

What is included with my North Pole Experience Ticket?

Your ticket to the North Pole Experience is approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes and includes:  Your trolley bus ride to the forest and through the magic portal to the North Pole and Santa’s Workshop, your entire experience INSIDE Santa’s workshop, cookies and cocoa, a private family moment with Santa (online digital family photo included), and most importantly memories that your children and family will cherish forever.    Lodging and meals are available for guests by our hotel partners, and sold separately.

Where is the North Pole Experience (NPX) located, and where do we drive too?

The NPX is located in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona, approximate 138 miles from Phoenix.    All trolley bus departures to the North Pole depart from the Little America Hotel, located at 2515 E. Butler Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ  86004.   The Little America hotel is blanketed in over 1 million Christmas lights, and the perfect launching station for your families journey to the North Pole and Santa’s Workshop.

Can we purchase lodging and meal packages for the North Pole Experience?

Yes.   The Little America Hotel is the trolley departure station for the 2014 North Pole Experience.    Little America offers guests an NPX package, which includes your room, NPX dinner buffet and the famous Breakfast with Santa the next morning.    In addition, we have many hotel partners in the Flagstaff area that provide discounted NPX lodging rates.

For Little America lodging and meals, please call 888-469-8819, or click here.  For other NPX Lodging see the Lodging/Meals section of the site.

Where do we park, once we arrive at the Little America Hotel?

Parking is FREE for NPX guests at the Little America Hotel.   If you are not staying overnight at the Little America, please park in the NPX designated parking which is clearly marked on signage upon your arrival.   Little America and NPX hotel overnight guests should check-in at registration, and then park in front of their designated lodge parking unit.

How early should we arrive at the Little America Hotel before our scheduled NPX departure time?

Guests need to arrive and check-in at the NPX check-in desk (located in the Little America Hotel lobby), no later than 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.  Pre-boarding starts approximately 5 to 7 minutes prior to your trip time and it is important that you be punctual.   IMPORTANT:  If you miss your booked trolley bus, there are no refunds and your tickets will be forfeited.   The NPX sells out annually, so please plan ahead to insure for a punctual arrival.

What is the difference between a Day trip vs Night trip vs. Family value night experience?

Ticket prices range from $38 to $55, depending on the Experience date and time you select.    Day Experience trips are perfect for families who would like to arrive, experience Santa’s magical workshop and be home in time for bed.    The only difference between Day and Night trips are the outdoor lights.    Family Value Night Experience trips are discounted 20% per ticket (Save $10 per ticket), and are located on some mid-week dates, and days after Christmas.     All  (3) experiences provide the same magic and family memories.

Are my NPX tickets refundable?

Tickets to the North Pole Experience (NPX) are non-refundable upon purchase.   The NPX sells out annually, and we have a very limited capacity so that we can maintain an authentic and magical experience.    In the case of weather related closing of the roads, where NPX cannot operate, then guests will be afforded a future pass for the same season, which can be extended into the next year season based on availability.
